Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers.jpg

Now, I don't know about you but I love me a good bacon-wrapped anything especially if it's stuffed with cheese. Even though I'm lactose I just can't say no to cheese. My motto is "enjoy it now and regret it later" cheese is the way to my heart. I think just about everyone has had a Bacon-wrapped Jalapeno popper with the exception of people who don't eat bacon or are allergic to one of the ingredients. If that's not the case then you are seriously just missing out.

I can't name one person that I made this for who hasn't liked them seriously. My husband's best friend had them at my son's 2nd birthday party and now anytime we have a party he asked if we are cooking those. My son's 3rd birthday is this Sunday on the 5th and he wants to know if the poppers are going to be on the menu.

The best part is more than likely they are always on the menu because they are super easy to make and you're next go to party favorite.

So let's get into making them.

INGREDIENTS:

10 Jalapenos (make as little or as many as you want but let's just say this is for a party so this will make 20 when cute in half)

2- 8oz Packs of cream cheese

1 Bag of shredded cheese (Doesn't matter what kind mine varies)

1 Block of Pepper Jack Cheese

Tony Chachere

Onion Powder

Garlic Powder

Everything but the Elote seasoning (Optional)

Paprika

1 Pack of Bacon (possibly 2 depending on how much bacon you like)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. If using the oven preheat to 400 degrees.

  2. Cut Jalapenos in half and scrape out all of the seeds. Then set to the side.

  3. In a bowl mix together cream cheese your seasonings, and a handful of the shredded cheese.

  4. Fill each half of the jalapeno with the cream cheese mixture.

  5. Take your block of pepper jack cheese, cut thin vertical pieces, and place on top of each jalapeno.

  6. Take your bacon and cut each strip in half, then wrap around the jalapeno.

  7. Place on a baking pan, on the grill, or in the air fryer.

  8. If cooking in the oven place in preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until bacon is crispy and you start to smell the aroma.

  • Air Fryer place in the air fryer and cook on 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

  • Grill- Place on for about 30 minutes until fully cooked.

That's it once done cooking simply enjoy. It's the perfect go-to easy snack for game night, tailgating, family BBQs or just because.
